PMAN Wishes All Plateau Citizens A Happy Easter Celebration

PMAN Plateau State Chapter wishes all adherence of the Christian faith a Happy Easter Celebration.

 I also wish to pray and encourage us all that this difficult time we are passing through will not last. The he challenge of COVID 19 that the whole world is passing through as a global pandemic we shall come out strong and better and "None shall be missing in our dear state.

May we continue to imbibe the exemplary lifestyle of Jesus Christ and his teachings which is the basis of our Christian faith.

I admonish us all to always practice religious tolerance and love in our state and in our personal lives especially in these challenging times where Coronavirus has taken the world by storm.

I wish you all a Happy Easter Celebration and a successful low key celebration even as we are lockdown in our homes.

COVID-19 LOCKDOWN IN PLATEAU STATE: A REMINDER. In view of the Executive order issued by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Simon Bako Lalong, KSG, Executive Governor of Plateau State, I wish to remind the citizens of the state as follows: 1.  That the lockdown which is now a standing order, begins a second past 12.00 midnight of Sunday 31st May, 2020 till 12.00 midnight of Wednesday 3rd June, 2020. 2.  That the curfew imposed on the nation by the President and Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, between the hours of 8.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m., is still in force and should be adhered to. 3.  That All passes earlier issued by the State government are no longer valid from the 1st of June, 2020. New passes will be issued by the relevant issuing authority as earlier announced. 4.  That the wearing of face masks is mandatory  and defaulters are liable to a fine of not less than N1,000.00 only, when caught. 5

PRESS STATEMENT COVID-19: PLATEAU STATE GOVT BANS EID PRAYERS

In view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Plateau State and in furtherance of the Resolutions reached at the Plateau  State Security Council Meeting presided over by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Simon  Bako Lalong, Government wishes to intimate the citizens of the following decisions particularly as it relates to the forth coming Eid-el-Ftr Sallah celebrations: 1. That all Eid praying grounds across the State shall be closed to all worshippers. This is line with existing ban on all large public gatherings in tandem with the directive of  the President-General, Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs His Eminence, Sultan Mohammed Abubakar that all muslims should suspend congregational Eid Prayers and pray at home. 2. Where prayers are observed in mosques, they should abide by the regulations for not more than 50 persons, hand washing, use of sanitizers and social distancing.  3.
